Best Time to Visit the French Riviera
The French Riviera is a popular destination year-round, but the best time to visit depends on your preferences. The summer months of June to August offer warm temperatures and vibrant beach culture. However, this is also peak tourist season, so be prepared for larger crowds and higher prices. For a quieter experience, consider visiting in the shoulder seasons of spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). The weather is still pleasant, and you’ll have a chance to explore the region without the crowds. We visited in September and found the weather to be absolutely perfect. It was still fairly busy, but this was due to the Rugby world cup which was taking place in Nice during our trip.
